Some of the maps, land registration and administration documents held by MLHHSD are now very old and have deteriorated with time. These documents need to be restored before they can be digitised and entered into the ILMIS. Alain Roger, an expert in the restoration of paper documents from the National Library in Paris visited MLHHSD in March 2017 to assess the resources required for the restoration process and conducted a one week training to relevant MLHHSD staff on map restoration.
